On 1 November 2023 Mrs Susan Veldsman, Mr Magick Maphanga and Mrs Ina Smith – all from ASSAf – visited Qoqa Secondary School in Orange Farm to hand over the prize money of R 20,000.00, Qoqa Secondary School being the winners of the first prize of the SA IYBSSD School competition. The principal, head of department, and science teacher, Mr Sboniso Mdlalose, received ASSAf. Mr Mdlalose does an incredible job in terms of inspiring and motivating learners to study mathematics and science. On the photos below, please see the happy recipients of the prize money. The school will utilise the prize money to further advance science and mathematics learning by the learners.
